We completed this stunning loft conversion in York in the winter of 2020 for a new build home.
The client had a huge unused loft space that they wanted to convert into a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. As soon we saw the size of the loft, we knew we could build something really special for them!
We started by building a full-width, flat roof Dormer. We used a tile hanging external finish, with tiles and windows that matched the original exterior.
The trusses and 2.4 metre head-height made this York loft conversion slightly tricky, but we managed to transform the resulting space into a big, beautiful master suite – complete with walk-in shower!
The new staircase was built just off the existing landing, so as not to lose any floor space downstairs. A window on the loft landing helps to brighten up the space and make it feel larger than it is.
Inside the bedroom, two rear uPVC dormer windows and two MK08 roof windows offer a light and airy atmosphere.
