The client contacted us prior to moving house, wanting to discuss a potential loft conversion in Doncaster. The property in question did not have enough existing head height for a loft conversion, so the only way forward was to build upwards and raise the roof.
We discussed the possibilities with the client and once we’d agreed the quote, Extra Space Developments started a full planning application. As soon as that was approved by the council in Doncaster, we started work on the loft conversion.
The client had another property to live in, which made this roof-raise loft conversion and property renovation a much easier task! We stripped the house back to the original external side walls and built a 6m x 6m rear extension to add extra space to the property.
We raised the roof with attic Trusses, built up the gable ends to suit the truss profile, and installed eight Velux windows. The beautiful oak stairs lead up to the loft space, where the client has gained two very generous bedrooms with two ensuite wet rooms and plenty of natural light.
